2005-06-06, Teva Mountain Games
We were invited to be a part of the Teva Mountain Games Film festival through cinematographer Tyler Lindsey who traveled to Europe with us this season. We were given 72 hours to create a short movie that captured what “the mountain spirit of the games”. The highlight for me was a cable follow cam above the white water creek race being that I had to leave half way through the competition. I am excited to see that final project. good luck boys - ben

Ahhh Casa Bonita, where the marichi bands run rampant and the sopapillas flow free like...the free range chickens in Boulder or something. - lorenzo
2005-04-26, Copper Mountain, CO
What month is this? Cause last time I checked April was for flowers not 15 inches of snow. However we managed to catch a small break in the winter storm cycle on the last day of the filming session. However chasing sucker holes of light is both frustrating and tiring. But we closed it out right staying late in the afternoon hiking for the shot. - lorenzo
2005-04-23, Copper Mountain, CO, USA
We flew into San Francisco, jumped in the car and drove to Tahoe. Slept a few hours, then loaded Max's Truck and drove straight out to Copper for their spring park filming session. Today we were out there, albeit a little bit dazed, gettin it done. Deker, Mark T., and Eron T.seed. were able to join us for a little filming. Feels good to get a bit more film in the bag. - lorenzo
2005-04-20, Zurich, Austria
Yesterday we arrived in Zurich to the natioal spring equinox holiday which included a parade that ran for hours, right past our hotel room. Bread and fish throwing seems to be large part of this parade as we were pelted with both while watching from our hotel window. The marching bands marched, and drank, right on through the night. Today it is time to take it easy and see the city a bit via the public transportation. - lorenzo
2005-04-17, Ischgl, Austria
Amazing that we were able to build a course that challenged people but was also safe with the variable conditions here in Ischgl. It is either deathly icy or super slushy and often both in the same day. Our nanny from Davos, Amber, managed to take home the gold in the womens race, and those pesky, and super fast, world cup skiers took 1st through 4th in the mens. As usual with any good competition it was followed by a good night of parying. However we have been spoiled by the quality of night life in Livigno so we felt that it just wasnt quite the same level as the week before. And our livers thank us. - lorenzo
2005-04-15, Ischgl, Austria
We reluctantly left our five star accomidations at the Posta in Livingo and made our way to Ischgl today. Telemark Works is putting on the European Masters Telecross on saturday and we have been invited to attend. - lorenzo
2005-04-13, Livigno, Italy
Not much snow in Livigno. Last year we managed to find some great filming in the back country and this year we are finding it in the park. This place has a long tradition of freestyle skiing and it shows with the attention they put into thier park, even with the grass skiing that you have to do to get back to the lift. - lorenzo
2005-04-11, Livigno, Italy
The Livigno festival kicked off today. The end of the season event is characterized by long hours in ski boots followed late nights full of intoxicants and then waking up early (or not sleeping at all and just changing back into your ski boots) and doing it all over again. Amazing how people retain the energy to pull off 10 days of this. Even with the unusually low snow level this year people are still raring to go on the 8:30 tour in the morning. - lorenzo
2005-04-09, Livigno, Italy
Our arrival in Livigno could not have come at a more opportune time. Luigi, the owner of the infamouse Posta Hotel, was celebrating his Birthday. Festivities ran until the sun came up. A hearty welcome to the town we have grown to love. - lorenzo
2005-04-02, Davos
Two and a half weeks in davos switzerland. The first week it rained all week long. We spent more time at the local swimming pool than we did at the ski hill. Then our cinematographer showed up and it went blue bird. not deep but definitly fun. We were able to find and film lines for the next couple of days. It is amazing what doesnt get skied over here. We also met a ripping girl skier who was a nanny for the friends we were staying with it was the best filming week of the season so far. - ben
2005-03-20, Squaw
A huge storm just hit tahoe we are in the squaw paking lot in the FreeHeel Strom Tour RV. It is snowing so hard that we are having trouble filming. The Squaw mountain Tele fest is going on and they are going to let us slide the rail off the parking structure. Looks like it will be dumping for a while here but we are off to Europe in a day or two. It always dumps as soon as we are about to leave locations. If I could I would travel a couple of days behind us and ski pow all the time. - ben
2005-02-25, Berthoud Pass
What a day, We went shooting at Berthoud with Cody Smith first run he landed a drop with an arm back and dislocated his shoulder after a hour drive to Granby hospital just one block away from the hospital we got in a car wreck. An elderly man pulled out in front of us and we totaled Codys car. Confusion ensuded on why Cody had a dislocated shoulder and how to get him to the hospital which was a block away. I called Max Mancini who just got out of the hospital for an ankle injury had to come pick us up in Granby. Hopefully our luck will change. We have a week off every body is on injured reserve any way. Mid season blues - ben
2005-02-21, Copper Mnt
Last night we had a photo shoot at Copper Mountain. They cut the quarter pipe and put lights on the rails. The highlight had to be when we put a light in one of the box's. The box made for some amazing images. Looks like more and more snow on the way hopefully some sun as well. - ben
